BSNL to launch FLPP services to landline users in Dehradun, Hardwa

Dehra Dun, Aug 21 (UNI) Public sector Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) will launch fixed line prepaid over post paid (FLPP) services, at present only available with the PCO booth owners, for its land line users here, Hardwar and Nainital.

''We will launch Fixed Line prepaid over Post Paid (FLPP) Services for landline users in Dehradun, Hardwar and Nainital. Under the scheme, subscriber has to pay the rental charges thorugh bills but could make calls by buying pre-paid cards,''company's Chief General Manager (Uttarakhand Telecom Circle) Mahendra Kumar said.

Fixed line pre-paid (FLPP) services, allows a subscriber to make calls from a prepaid account linked to his telephone number for a predetermined amount that user decides to spend on telephone calls.

BSNL cell phone connections have outnumbered Land Line connections in Uttarakhand Circle.

''In the Uttarakhand Circle there are 3.45 lakh land line users and 5.10 lakh mobile users,'' Mr Kumar said.

BSNL also launched various new schemes, to be into effect from tomorrow and last till October 20, for its prepaid subscribers.
