BSNL sets target of 7.5 lakh mobiles for Haryana
Fatehabad, Aug 21 (UNI) The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has set a target of 7.5 lakh new mobile connections in Haryana in the current financial year.
Besides the mobile connections, the nigam had set a target of issuing one lakh new WLL connection under the CDMA technology, Chief General Manager, Telecom, Haryana, K. C. Jindal told media persons here today The nigam was already market leader in the mobile segment with a customer base of 11.85 lakh in the state, he said adding that the nigam had brought about several improvements in its services besides broadening its customer base.
However, the tele-density in Haryana being 16, he informed, was much less than the national figure, which stood at 25.
He said that the nigam was issuing new connections on demand, providing broadband services throughout the state and making the telecommunication services poleless.
Mr Jindal added that consumers could also avail unlimited broadband services on their WLL connections with a monthly tariff of Rs 250 only.
The BSNL, he said, had announced some attractive tariff plans for the post-paid mobile customers.
The plans include full talk time on all recharge coupons of Rs 300 or more while for the high-end customer, the nigam is giving talk time of 7500 minutes on a recharge coupon of Rs 5000.
The nigam, he said, had started a mobile van, which would go village to village to provide mobile connections to villagers.
