ZTE registers record in volume shipment at 12,000 sets

New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) Telecommunications equipment and network solutions vendor ZTE Corporation (ZTE) today said it has shipped over 12,000 sets of CDMA base station in the first half of this calendar year, up 240 per cent when compared to same period last year.

''Since 2001, ZTE had already shipped over 55,000 sets of CDMA base station. India alone accounts for over 20,000 sets of the shipment, allowing ZTE to capture the largest market share for CDMA base stations in the country,'' company's CDMA product General Manager Zhu Jinyun said in a statement.

The company's CDMA system subscriber capacity exceeded 100 million lines, registering a 100 per cent increase, the statement said.

The company accumulated a total network subscriber capacity of 43 million lines in India, while it has also become one of the leading CDMA suppliers with a capacity of 15 million lines in Indonesia.
