UHBVN revises norms on unauthorised use of power
Chandigarh, Aug 20 (UNI) The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has decided to revise the tariff and period of assessment in the cases of unauthorised use of electricity.
Now the erring consumers will have to pay double amount of the normal tariff instead of one and a half time, an official spokesman said.
Similarly, the period of assessment will be twelve months or entire period of unauthorised use if it is determined or from the date of release of connection instead of six months.
A spokesman said here today that for the unauthorized extension of load by metered tubewell consumers, the assessment will be made at the rate of Rs 1000 per BHP of unauthorised extended load, as the tariff of metered tubewell consumers is highly subsidised.
