TDP demands all-party committee on nuke deal

Visakhapatnam, Aug 20 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded that the Centre constitute an all-party committee to deliberate on the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Demanding scrapping of the 123 Agreement on civil nuclear co-operation, he told reporters here that '' many political parties had opposed the deal.'' The deal, if operationalised, will mortgage the sovereignity of the country, '' he said.

The TDP was not in favour of a snap poll as it would benefit the Congress, he added.
