Shiv Sena ZP member murdered in Nagpur

Nagpur, Aug 20 (UNI) Unidentified persons beheaded a Shiv Sena member of Nagpur Zilla Parishad (ZP), police said today.

According to police, a group of about 10 to 12 armed men stopped the car of Gopal Lohabare (38), while he was on his way home, and assaulted him with swords and other sharp weapons, late last night.

Mr Lohabare died on the spot, police said.

It is suspected that the attack was the outcome of an altercation that Mr Lohabare had with a group of persons in a restaurant last evening, police said, adding that five persons had been arrested in this connection.
