SE Railway train services dusrupted due to breach

Kolkata, Aug 20 (UNI) The Jharkhand and Orissa railway services were disrupted following heavy rains in West Bengal.

A goods train was derailed following a breach of about 400 to 500 mtrs in Rourkela-Jharsuguda section of Chakradharpur division, (South Eastern Railway) in Orissa.

SER officials here today said the restoration work had already started and would be completed within three days.

''Heavy rains are affecting the restoration work,'' the officials said, Several trains on the route have been diverted, Short-terminated and cancelled.

The following trains have been diverted: 2102 Howrah-Lokmanyatilak Jnaneswari Express now at Rourkela will run diverted route via Hatia-Muri-Barka-GarwaRoad-Chopan-Katni-Itarsi and Nagpur.

8477 Puri-New Delhi Utkal Kalinga Express now at Tata will run diverted route via Chandil-Muri-Barkakhana-Garwa Road-Chopan and Katni.

2810 Howrah-Mumbai Mail and 2130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express now at Rourkela will be diverted to Rourkela-Hatia-Muri-Barkakhana-Itarsi and Nagpur.

3352 Dhanbad/Tatanagar Alappuzha Express now at Bamra will run via Jharsuguda-Sambalpur-Bhadrak-Kharagpur-Tata-Chandil-Muri.

2833 Ahmedabad-Howrah Express and 2859 Mumbai-Howrah Geetanjali Express will run via diverted foute Jharsuguda-Sarnbalpur-Bhadrak and Kharagpur.

8478 New Delhi-Puri Utkal Kalinga Express will run via diverted route Jharsuguda-Sambalpur-Angul-Puri.

2860 Howrah-Mumbai Geetanjali Express starting Howrah on 20.8.07 is diverted to Kharagpur-Bhadrak-Angul-Sambalpur-Jharsuguda.

8477 Puri-New Delhi Utkal Kalinga Express leaving Puri on 20.8.07 will run diverted route via Angul-Sambalpur-Jharsuguda.

2834 Howrah-Ahmedabad Express now at Rourkela will run diverted route via Rourkela-Hatia-Muri-Barkakhana-Garwa road-Itarsi-Jalgaon and Surat.

Trains short terminated: 2871 Howrah-Sambalpur Ispat Express and 8005 Howrah-Koraput Express will be short terminated at Rourkela and will run as 2872 and 8006 respectively from Rourkela. 2871/2872 Howrah-Sambalpur Ispat Express and 8005/8006 Howrah-Korapur Express will remain cancelled between Rourkela-Sambalpur-Rourkela. 8452 Hatia-Puri Tapaswini Express will be short terminated at Sambalpur and will run as 8451 Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express from Sambalpur. 8451/8452 Hatia/Puri Tapaswini Express will remain cancelled between Sambalpur Hatia-Sambalpur.

2869 Mumbai-Howrah Express will be shot terminated at Jharsuguda.
