Probe initiated by Delhi Govt against suspended officials
New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) A probe has been initiated against five officials, who had been suspended on Friday, for allegedly registering properties in an illegal manner.
Sources in the Delhi Government said the state government had initiated probes against five sub-registrars who were suspended on Friday.
New officials have been appointed in place of the five officials, they said.
Officials from non-sensitive posts in various government departments -- S C Vashist , Ved Prakash, Amitabh Joshi, Pawan Kumar and Rajeev Kumar -- have been appointed to the posts held by the sub registrars.
Buniyad Singh (sub-registrar in Pitampura area), Sanjeev Aggarwal (Narela), O P Babarwal (Janakpuri), Mohmmed Hashim (Seelam Pur) and Dinesh Kumar (Kashmiri Gate) were suspended by the Delhi Government after it was found that they were allegedly not charging any stamp duty on sale and purchase of properties, resulting in huge losses to the exchequer.
