Paramour of wife killed by couple

Kaithal, Aug 20 (UNI) A love affair between a married woman and her paramour ended in the murder of the lover, allegedly by the couple, police today said.

SP Hanjf Qureshi told reporters today that the couple have been arrested by the local police and sent in judicial custody by a court.

Police have also recovered the knife used in the murder and the mobile phone allegedly used by the woman for calling her paramour to her house.

Giving details of this case, that on August 16, Parkash, a resident of Subhash Nagar, lodged a complaint with police that his brother Surinder, was a frequent visitor to the house of Virender Kumar of Subhash Nagar.

On August 16 at about 0430 hrs, Surinder who was bleeding profusely, came to him and told Parkash that Urmila (name changed) wife of Virender, caught him and Virender stabbed him repeatedly.

The victim was taken to civil hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.

Police registered a case under Section 320 and 34 IPC .

CIA Sub Inspector Shakti Singh arrested Virender and during his one-day police remand recovered the knife used in this murder.

The police also arrested Urmila and during investigation, it came to light that the deceased Surinder had developed illicit relations with the woman whose husband was an alcoholic.

On August 15 night, Virender came to his residence heavily drunk and his wife allegedly called Surinder home at night. However, Virender got up early in the morning and on finding a stranger in his house, challenged him.

Urmila, to win confidence of her husband, also caught Surinder and while Virender attacked him repeatedly with a knife.
