Pakistani national's wish fulfilled in just two days!

Srinagar, Aug 20 (UNI) Before boarding the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad peace bus on August 16, a Pakistani national had made a wish that on his death he should be buried in his ancestral village in Kashmir.

It took hardly two days for the wish to be fulfilled.

Ghulam Mohammad Wagay had boarded the 'Karavan-e-Aman (Caravan of Peace)' between Srinagar and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) capital Muzaffarabad on Thursday to visit his ancestral village at Arhal in Wailoo-Kokernag area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir.

After staying here for the night, 72-year-old Wagay along with his wife Maryam reached his ancestral village the next day. The couple stayed in the house of Wagay's nephew Mohammad Iqbal Wagay.

On August 18 night, Wagay developed acute pain in the chest and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died.

As per the wish, Wagay was buried in his ancestral village which hundreds of people joining the funeral prayers.

Wagay had left Kashmir in 1947 to live in Pakistan capital Islamabad. He later got married to a Pakistani girl there.

Reports received here said Wagay's wife wanted to take the body of her husband to Pakistan for burial to enable the family members to join the funeral prayers.

She approached the district administration with the request to allow her to take the body to Pakistan, but the plea was rejected.
