Own party members interrup Soz during debate on flood
New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz was interrupted by his own party colleagues when he got up to intervene in the debate on the flood situation in the country in the Lok Sabha today.
Interestingly, Mr Lal Singh and Mr Madan Lal Sharma, both Congress members belong to Jammu and Kashmir, the home state of the Minister.
However, the members, later, got down after the Chair made it clear that the Minister was not winding up the debate and the reply would be made by the Home Minister tomorrow.
But, the Opposition members took objection to repeated intervention by Mr Soz, saying ''How many times he would intervene in the debate''.
The Minister attempted to speak on the river-linking issue but was shouted down by the adamant opposition members, forcing the Chair to adjourn the House for the day.
