Hyderabad, Aug 20 (UNI) The National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) started an eight-week executive training programme today.

Besides India, executives from various developing countries, including Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Zambia and Zimbabwe, would participate in the event, which would have a ten-day field visit.

Inaugurating the programme, NIMSME Principal Director Chukkala Kondaiah said developing enterpreneurial skills among non-business communities would be possible through this training programme.

The NIMSME, started in 1967, had conducted training programmes, developed 'Concept Entrepreneurship' and held seminars on the 'pursuing enterpreneurship for developing micro, small and medium industries'.

Stating that 90 per cent of small and medium enterprises existed in the developing countries, Dr Kondaiah said NIMSME was taking its consultancy base to other developing countries.

The institute also proposed to start a Masters degree in Enterpreneurial Management, he added.
