Muslim leaders, scholars demand speedy implementation of Sachar
Mumbai, Aug 20 (UNI) Actor-turned-politician Raj Babbar urged members of the minority community to display the highest level of zeal and unity to get the Sachar committee report implemented.
Mr Babbar, while addressing a seminar in the city, in connection with the implementation of the Sachar report and securing reservations for Muslims, pointed out that since independence, Muslims have been used as a vote-bank by all political parties.
''However, for the first time, a report has exposed the plight of Muslims in the country. I call upon all the members of the minority community to stand united and step up efforts to get the report implemented'', urged the Jan Morcha leader.
President of the All India Quami Tanzeem (AIQT), and NCP MP, Tariq Anwar yesterday said the AIQT will hold a national level awareness camp to educate the Muslim community about the importance of the Sachar report and it's implementation.

Eminent lawyer and NCP national secretary, Majeed Memon said the Sachar report has opened a way for the upliftment of the Muslim community and the need of the hour was to take urgent steps for its implementation.
