Minor girl conecives army Jawan's illegitimate child in Ramban

Jammu, Aug 20 (UNI) Police in Ramban have lodged a complaint against an Army Jawan, alleging that he had developed physical relationship with a local minor girl, leading her to an illegitimate pregnancy, official sources today said.

As per complaint registered in Ramsoo Police Station, Lance Naik P K Sarkar of 23 Rashtriya Rifles had physical relationship with a minor girl of Sarbagni village for the last couple of months.

Consequently, she became pregnant, the matter which came to the notice of girl's parents recently.

A complaint in this regard was registered by the police yesterday.

However, Army has Instituted a Staff Court of Inquiry (CoI) to ascertain the details of case, said Defence Ministry spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI here.

''Army authorities have assured that strict disciplinary action will be taken against the soldier, if found guilty,'' he added.
