Jharkhand Front to support tomorrow's J'khand bandh
Jamshedpur, Aug 20 (UNI) The newly floated Jharkhand Front (JF) today urged the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) to withdraw support to the UPA government at the Centre and in the state to protest the role of the Congress on Delimitation Commission's notification to reduce reserved Lok Sabha and Assembly seats for the Scheduled tribes.
In a statement here, convenor of the JF Surya Singh Besra said all the JMM MPs and MLAs should also submit their resignation from Parliament and the Assembly owning moral responsibility for its ''failure'' to protect the interests of the adivasis in the state.
Terming the decision of the Commission to reduce six reserved Lok Sabha and Assembly seats for the ST in Jharkhand as unfortunate, he alleged that the Congress had hatched conspiracy to eliminate the adivasis.
Mr Besra held both UPA and the NDA responsible for the present situation, adding the NDA initiated the process and the UPA implemented it.
He said the Front would support the Jharkhand Jahadhikar Manch (JJM)-sponsored Jharkhand bandh on August 21 to extend solidiarity to the issue.
