Indo-US deal not in country's interests: Gehlot
Shajapur, MP, Aug 20 (UNI) BJP National General Secretary and MP Thawarchand Gehlot today called for scrapping of the Indo-US nuclear deal alleging that it restrained the country's nuclear capabilities.
Mr Gehlot told UNI here that national interests had been sacrificed by the Centre signing the nuclear deal.
''A decision regarding the nuclear deal must be taken on the basis of majority in Parliament as India has a democratic system,'' he said.
On threat by Left parties to the UPA Government, he said the Left should not bow down.
He added that The UPA Government was working under the pressure of the US.
