IAF aircraft encircles earth in 79 days
New Delhi, Aug 20: A microlight aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Sunday touched base near national capital New Delhi, after going around the globe in a record 79 days. The pilots, Wing Commanders Rahul Monga and Anil Kumar, covered 40,497 km over 19 countries, clocking an average speed of 21.092 kilometer per hour in the two-seater craft. This beat the previous record of 16.53 over 99 days, set by UK's Colin Bodil in 2001.
