Hooda urges Congress youth to fulfil Rajiv Gandhi's dream

Bhiwani, Aug 20 (UNI) The Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today urged the Youth Congress Party workers that they should make a solemn pledge to fulfill the dreams of former prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi so that country could become a great nation in the world.

The Chief Minister, while addressing a yuva prerna Rally organised by Haryana youth congress to mark the 64th birthday of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi here today, said that former prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi gave their best to take the country on the threshhold of 21th century.

He appealed to the youth to derive inspiration from the life of Rajiv Gandhi and work with zeal and dedication so that India could emerge as a superpower in the world in the next ten to twelve years.

Mr Hooda hailed Rajiv Gandhi for being ''instrumental in introducing information technology in the country besides, he empowered the Panchayati Raj Institutions in the country so that common man could enjoy the fruit of freedom.'' He said that Rajiv Gandhi was of the opinion that there should be no middleman while executing the developmental works and he proved this also.
