HC asks police to produce case diary in tantri case

Kochi, Aug 20 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the state police to produce the case diary on a criminal case relating to Sabarimala Tantri Kandararu Mohanararu against whom certain allegations were raised last year.

A Division Bench comprising Mr Justice K S Radhakrishnan and Mr Justice V K Mohanan gave the direction on a petition filed by Chief Priest Kandararu Maheswaru who challenged Travancore Devaswom Board's order disallowing Kandararu Mohanararu from performing prayers in the Sabarimala Temple.

Senior Advocate C S Vaidyanathan, appearing for the petitoner, contended there was no case against Kandararu Mohanararu and he was only a complainant in an incident that happened last year.

The tantri had in a complaint to the police claimed he was abducted by some people and taken to a flat here where he was allegedly robbed and forced to pose with a woman in a compromising posture.
