Gogoi meets Patil; discusses security situation in Assam
New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today met Home Minister Shivraj Patil to discuss the security scenario in the state where a number of Hindi-speaking migrants were killed by ULFA militants recently.
The one-to-one meeting lasted half an hour and discussed the growing ULFA violence in the state.
Earlier, Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal visited the places where militants had killed many Hindi-speaking migrant workers. He emphasised the need for strengthening security in the state.
