Goa observes 'Sadbhana Diwas' remembering Rajiv Gandhi

Panaji, Aug 20 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, along with the state paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi on the latter's 63rd birth anniversary today.

Commemorating the day as 'Sadbhavana Diwas', Mr Kamat, accompanied by his cabinet and party members, paid floral tributes at the Rajiv Gandhi medical complex at Bambolim and the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee office in the city.

He also garlanded the portrait of the slain leader at the new secretariat complex at Porvorim, where he had administered the pledge to his staff.

Meanwhile, Goa Energy Development Agency observed 'Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas' today and organised a rally at St Xavier's college, Mapusa in which Mr Kamat also participated.

UNI
