Five prisoners escape from Chas Jail, constable injured
Bokaro, Aug 20 (UNI) Altogether five dreaded gangsters today escaped from the Chas jail here and injured a constable-on-duty in the process.
Reportedly, they were originally residents of Jharkhand and Bihar.
''Seven prisoners tried to flee from the Chas jail but two of them, were caught,'' said Superintendent of Police Priya Dubey.
''Five others, who fled, were charged with murder, extortion and loot,'' she said.
''The injured constable Gyanichand Kushwaha has been admitted to Bokaro General Hospital,'' Ms Dubey added.
Jail Superintendent Tushar Ranjan said action would be taken against them.
