Father of five arrested for raping minor girl in Kashmir

Baramulla, Aug 20 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested one person for allegedly raping a minor girl in north Kashmir, official sources said.

They said Sadiq a father of five children raped an eleven-year-old girl after he found her alone in a cowshed at Sukhdhar, Uri, about 50 km from here today.

Police arrested the accused when he tried to escape after committing the crime.

Station House Officer (SHO) Uri Abdul Rashid said an FIR has been registered after the medical examination of the victim.

This was the second incident during the past one month when minor girl was raped in Uri.
