Elaborate process to ensure distribution of Kanak-daal
Chandigarh, Aug 20 (UNI) A mandatory SMS by depot -holder informing the Food Inspector regarding unloading the stock at the ration depot would activate the total distribution machinery of Food and Civil Supplies Department.
Giving the details of distribution procedure for Wheat and Dal to Blue Card holders, an official spokesman said that on 2nd of every month, District Food and Civil Supplies Controller would issue an allocation of Wheat and Dal under this scheme for each depot.
The depot holders would deposit the required amount of money into Punsup account by 7th of each month and he will lift the stock from the Punsup points by the 15th of that month.
Every depot holder is required to notify the Food Inspector by SMS as and when they unload the stock at the depot. Food Inspector had been issued instruction to personally visit depot on receiving SMS to verify the quantity and quality of stocks.
The spokesman said that on the 16 th of each month Punsup will inform District Food and Civil Supplies Controller the names of depot who have failed to lift the stock that month.
The depot holders are required to distribute Wheat and Dal to Blue Card holders from 16 th to end of each month. The depot holders will intimate the balance stock to inspector concerned by 1st of each month.
The inspector will communicate the balance stock of the each depot to District Food and Civil Supplies Controller so that it may be deducted from the allocation of next month.
All card holders would be entitled to 7kg. wheat per person with a maximum of 35 kg and one kg of dal per person with a maximum 4 kg.
