CISF Inspector dies after Blueline hits his motorcycle

New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) An Inspector of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was killed early this morning after being hit by a speeding Blueline in Central Delhi's ITO area.

Rakesh Sharma (36), riding his motorcycle, was hit from behind by the 'teevra mudrika' Blueline at about 0730 hrs near the World Health Organisation building in ITO, said a police official.

The Blueline reportedly dragged him for about 25-30 metres.

The driver is absconding and efforts are on to nab him, he added.

Hailing from Agra in Uttar Pradesh, the CISF Inspector was posted at the Indraprastha Metro Station since June last, according to the CISF spokesperson.

Sharma is survived by his son and wife.
