Badal nominates seven members from minority community

Chandigarh, Aug 20 (UNI) In order to give due representation to the minority communities in the state, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today nominated seven members from the Muslim, Jain and Christian community as non-official members of the State Advisory Committee on Minority Affairs.

Disclosing this here, a spokesman of the State Home Department said that Abdul Gaffar, Ex-minister, Dilbag Hussain and Hazi Fazaldin had been nominated from Muslim community while Munawar Masih, Manga Masih and Hamid Masih would represent the Christian community.

Mr. Vishwa Jain had been nominated as the member from the Jain community, the spokesman added.
