Back to warm, humid weather in Delhi after a cool day on Sunday

New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) After a cool weather in Delhi yesterday, brought about by light rains, it was back to warm and humid conditions with the mercury rising to 35.4 Degree Celsius.

After a heavily overcast sky and light rains yesterday, a Sunny day welcomed Delhiites this morning. The sunlight, coupled with the high level of humidity, led to a sharp rise in maximum temperature, from 31.4 Degree Celsius yesterday, to 35.4 Degree C today, a degree above normal.

The minimum today was recorded at 25.7 Degree C.

The warm and humid conditions, which kept Delhiites indoors in the comfort of their homes and offices, came after a cool weather in the city yesterday due to light rains. About 5.2 mm of rainfall was recorded till 0830 hours today.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with the likelihood of thundry development in some areas.
