Amitabh Bachchan land case: Pune police team visit to UP
Lucknow, Aug 20 (UNI) A police team from Pune, Maharashtra today investigated the land case of Bollywood Mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh.
A four-member police team, led by senior inspector S K Tadalpurka, met the tehsildar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and additional District Magistrate of Barabanki at Fatehpur tehsil and inquired about the details of the land at Daulatpur purchased by Big B.
''The team, which reached Barabanki this noon, later left for Pune after taking photocopies of all the documents related to the land,'' a senior police official of Barabanki said.
Earlier, the controversy broke out on the land purchased by Amitabh after the UP government cancelled the allotment of the government land to the actor by the previous Mulayam Singh Yadav government.
The matter is presently being contested in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High court.
