3 awarded life imprisonment for murder

Yamunanagar, Aug 20 (UNI) Additional Sessions Judge Darshan Singh today sentenced three people to life imprisonment for killing a man in a land dispute in Radaur town of the district.

The convicts were Gurdev, a brother of the victim Mewa Ram, and his two accomplices Mange Ram and Jaswinder.

The trio had attacked Mewa Ram in his fields on October 20, 2005 and shot him dead. The victim's son Sandeep was injured in the attack.

The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Gurdev and Rs 5000 each on Mange Ram and Jaswinder. In case of non-payment of fine, they would have to undergo an additional imprisonment of five months.
