SPO killed by naxals

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Aug 19 (UNI) A Special Police Officer (SPO) was today gunned down by naxals at Romel village in Dantewara district of Chhattisgarh, police said.

SPO Dugaram, who was posted at Duggaram Kukanar camp, was killed by naxals during a weekly market at the village.

On hearing the sound of the gunshot, people started running helter skelter and chaos prevailed.

The SPO had come to purchase some materials in the market.
