Six children crushed to death as house collapses

Mooradabad, UP, Aug 19 (UNI) At least six children were killed and four others injured when their house collapsed in Sambhal area of the district early today.

Police said one Chandrapal Saini was living with his wife and ten children in a mud house. When the family was sleeping inside, the structure collapsed, killing his six children. Saini, his wife and four other children were severely injured in the incident.

The district administration has blamed a heavy downpour for the collapse.

The dead were identified as Barkha (11), Saloni (10), Madhu (8), Sagar (6), Salonika (5) and one-year-old Krish.

District magistrate Amit Kumar Ghosh has assured all possible help to Saini and his surviving kin.
