SGPC secretary granted extension till December 31

Fatehgarh Sahib, Aug 19 (UNI) The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee executive committee has reversed its earlier decision to terminate all employees on extension after superannuation and extended extension to the officers upto Secretary and assistant secretaries level.

The meeting held under the presidentship of Avtar Singh Makkar yesterday, changed its own decision taken in July that all employees of the committee would be retired on attaining the age of 58 years.

The earlier decision of the executive committee was to affect SGPC secretary Harbeant Singh, assistant secretaries Ajaib Singh and Jaswant Singh and some other persons but in the yesterday's executive committee meeting it was decided to extend extension of the officers up to secretary and assistant secretaries' level till December 31, 2007.

Meanwhile, the SGPC executive also approved to give 4 per cent D.A. to SGPC employees.
