Chandigarh, Aug 19 (UNI) To strengthen power transmission and distribution system in India's first CFL district Sirsa, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) have drawn a comprehensive plan of Rs 315 crore.

A spokesman of DHBVN said here today that under this plan, the utilities would construct 17 substations of 33 KV level of which 11 have already been approved and six other are likely to be approved by DHBVN soon.

In addition, DHBVN has proposed a Rs 90 crore plan for the further augmentation of power transmission system in the district. The Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) is considering the plan for approval after agreeing to it in principle.

HVPN would construct a 220 KV substation at village Chormar and a 132 KV substation at village Panjuwana. The 220 KV substation Chormar will have two transformers of 100 mva capacity each. The first transformer of 220/132 KV level would feed power to 132 KV substations Odhan, Assa Khera, Dabwali and Panjuwana.

The 220/33 KV level transformer would feed power to 33 KV substations at Rori, Kalanwali, Khuinyan, Malkana, Desu Jodha, Jagmalwali and Kharia. Chormar substation will be connected to 400 KV substation in Fatehabad through 70 kilometre long double circuit 220 KV transmission line for getting power.

It would also be connected to 220 KV substations Rania and Fatehabad for feeding power.

With the construction of 220 KV substation at Chormar, Sirsa will get benefit of improved voltage and regular power supply as besides feeding a large area, it would reduce load from other substations of 220 KV and 132 KV levels.

All the 83 feeders of 11 KV level having rural domestic and agriculture load would be segregated so as to ensure separate distribution system for rural and agriculture consumers.

The farmers as well as domestic consumers would be benefited with the system by way of regular and uninterrupted power supply. The plan will cost Rs 49 crores.

As many as 60 other over-loaded and lengthy feeders are being divided into feeders of lesser length and proper load at a cost of Rs 10 crore. In addition, DHBVN plans to set up additional about 3,000 distribution transformers in the district.

DHBVN plans to overhaul the entire power distribution system in district Sirsa by laying High Voltage Distribution System (HVDS) or Low Voltage Distribution System (LVDS) in all villages at a cost of Rs 80 crore.

The new power distribution system will be of international standards. All of the meters are also being shifted to poles from the houses of consumers at a cost of Rs 23 crore.

The DHBVN plans to release over 3,000 tube well connections in the district during this year that would increase about 60 MW load on the system.
