Orissa to launch "My land My house" programme for tribals
Bhubaneswar, Aug 19 (UNI) After Biju KBK Yojana, Gopabandhu Gramin Yojana and Biju Jyoti Yojana, Orissa government has come out with ''My land My Home'', another scheme to sort out the tribal's land problem in the state.
A high level meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here yesterday, to review the various welfare programmes for the tribals, decided to launch the campaign to resolve the land dispute problems of the tribals.
As per the new scheme, the special drive would be launched in each tahasil to resolve all the problems relating to the land of the tribals within the next four months.
It was also decided in the meeting that all the vacant posts for the revenue inspectors, foresters, doctors and para medical staff in the tribal dominated districts would be filled up in the next six months.
The state government also decided to set up a girl's high school and ladies hostel in 54 tribal blocks while the cooperative movement would be strengthened and expanded to tribal districts where as many as 500 primary service cooperative society would be constituted.
