New Governor of Orissa is a veteran member of House of Elders
New Delhi, Aug 19 (UNI) Mr Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare, who was appointed Governor of Orissa today, is a lawyer and a veteran Congress member of the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra.
His first term in the House of Elders was from June 30,1980 to April 2, 1982, then from April 3,1982 to April 2, 1988 and April 3, 1988 till date.
Born on December 10, 1928, Mr Bhandare is a B.Sc and LL.B.
He is the son of Chandrakant Laxmikant Bhandare and Sunanda Bhandare.
Mr Bhandare has one son and one daughter.
