NACA to organise aviation job fair from August 22
New Delhi, Aug 19 (UNI) To address the manpower crunch in the Indian aviation industry, Narayan Academy of Civil Aviation (NACA) said it will organise a three days 'Aviation Job Fair' in the national capital.
''The three-day 'Aviation Job Fair' will be held at Pragati Maidan on August 22-24,'' NACA Chairman Shashi Bhushan told reporters yesterday.
The plan is to provide a common platform where aviation industry majors and job seekers can interact with each other and mutually benefit, he added.
NACA's General Manager Vivek Mittal said, ''The domestic airline industry is expected to create 2,00,000 new jobs in the next five years.'' Out of this, 50 per cent of the requirement will emerge in non-technical field and the rest in technical field, he added.
Airlines like Jet Airways, Jet Light, Kingfisher, SpiceJet, Jagson, Air Deccan, Surya, KLM and Cambata will participate in the fair and select candidates for air-hostess, flight steward, ground staff and managerial posts.
''The interested candidates have to register themselves at NACA's centre by August 21,'' said Mr Mittal.
More than 3,000 candidates are expected to participate in the fair, he said.
