Modi Cabinet ministers dedicate developmental works

Anand, Aug 19 (UNI) Gujarat Revenue Minister Kaushik Patel today dedicated 38 developmental works costing Rs 104.89 lakh at eight villages in Petlad taluka of the district.

At Aashi village, he dedicated 'e-dhara' kendra that is a computerised centre from where villagers can access documents from their panchayats.

The present government has done a lot of developmental work in the state, Mr Patel said.

In the past, the people used to agitate to get their work done.

Today, their problems are solved amicably through 'sammelans' (meetings) he said.

In another eight villages in Sochitra taluka, State Women and Child Welfare Minister Jasumati Korat dedicated developmental works built at a cost of Rs 22 lakhs.

She told the gathering of villagers that her government had taken steps to prevent deaths of mother and child through the 'Chiranjeevi Yojana'.

She said after the implementation of 'Kanya Kedavani Yojana', there has been a sharp drop in the dropout rate of primary school children.

In Borsad taluka, Tribal Welfare Minister Prabhatsinh Chauhan visited Napatarpad village, where a 'sammelan' (meeting) was held to help cow breeding and increase milk production. On the occasion, a health camp was also set up in the village.

Mr Chauhan also distributed cheques worth Rs 3.30 lakh to the villagers.

In Nadiad, Agriculture Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma dedicated houses built at a cost of Rs 2.75 crore to policemen. These houses were built by the State Police Housing Development Corporation, Gandhinagar.

Mr Chudasma also dedicated a 'Jan Seva Kendra' built at a cost of Rs 5 lakh. The 'kendra' (centre) is a computerised centre where one can access any information of the district or the state.
