Maoist surrenders

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 19 (UNI) Dasari Mallikarjun alias Ravi (25) of CPI (Maoist) Party surrendered before the Pakasham District Superintendent of Police Vineeth Brijlal here this afternoon.

Mallikarjun belonged to Madduluru Village of Prakasham District.

When he was a student of Kavbali Jawahar Bharat College in 2002 ,he was attracted to the revolutionary movement and joined the Maoist Party in 2004.

He used to find recruits to the party from among students and agricultural coolies.
