Low pressure to cause rain in Coastal Andhra

Vijayawada, Aug 19 (UNI) Yesterday's well-marked low pressure area over North Bay and certain areas of West Bengal and Bangladesh lay centred over Gangetic West Bengal and its neighbourhood, a Met official said this evening.

Talking to UNI, he said under its influence rain or thunder showers were likely at many places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours.

Strong surface winds from South Westerly direction with a speed ranging from 45 to 50 km per hour was likely along and off Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours.
