London-bound flight cancelled due to techical snag

Chennai, Aug 19 (UNI) A London-bound British Airways flight set for takeoff from Chennai international airport was cancelled due to a technical snag here today.

Airport officials said the snag in the main door was detected by one of its crew members, when he tried to close it About 270 passengers were on board the flight.

Though engineers and other technical officials in the airport worked nearly for three hours, the snag could not be fixed.

Engineers from Britian would arrive to fix the snag.

The flight had been re-scheduled to takeoff tomorrow, the officials added.
