Warangal, Aug 19 (UNI) CPM Polit bureau member Brinda Karat today said the Left parties would go to any extent to prevent the Centre from implementing the Indo-US civil nuclear agreement.

Launching the second phase of land struggle by the party here she said, ''the Nuke deal is against the interest of the country and it should not be implemented. India's sovereignty is at stake with this agreement.'' Reiterating that the communists would continue their opposition to the nuclear agreement, she hoped that the UPA would not implement the deal succumbing to the US pressure.

Referring to the land struggle in the state, Ms Brinda blamed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy for trying to suppress the movement by using force.

She said the CPM government in West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura was successfully implementing the land reforms since it came to power.
