Srinagar, Aug 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHBA) is planning to seek ''justice through judicial intervention'' for the people of Khandroo and other villages affected by August 11 fire and subsequent explosions in 21 Field Ordnance Depot.

The decision was taken by the JKBA executive body meeting under the chairmanship of newly elected president Nazir Ahmad Ronga.

A total of 21 people, including a Major and 15 firefighters were killed and 30 others wounded in the incident, which forced thousands of villagers to flee from their villages.

The meeting expressed concern over the incident and said no detailed report has been received so far.

The JKBA has decided to constitute a committee comprising the Bar members and some prominent residents of Anantnag to ascertain the facts.

It was decided that JKBA would seek legal intervention for the affected, he said warning that the entire state was unsafe owing to presence of numerous ammunition depots.

He said the army camps and ammunition depots everywhere has made Kashmiris vulnerable and demilitarisation was the only solution.

''We will also seek intervention of Amnesty International and other human rights groups in this regard,'' he added.
