Bangalore, Aug 19 (UNI) Janata Dal (United) National President Sharad Yadav today urged the UPA Government not to operationalise the Indo-US civil nuclear 123 Agreement.

Addressing party workers here, Mr Yadav accused Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of aligning with the US, he said, '' once the deal is through, the US will have a say in the domestic affairs of the country.'' He said his party would strongly oppose the deal because it (JD-U) was not in favour of the country getting itself into a ''bondage''.

The deal was arrived at through negotiations among the bureaucrats he alleged and added the general public was unaware of its nuances.

About the entry of corporates in the retail sector he said the corporates were eyeing at the profits. ''The entry of domestic and foreign corporates proved that the Congress had gone back on its election promise of being with the common man. It (Congress) is now keen on siding with Mittals, Ambanis,'' he said.
