Crossword to conduct discussion on Womens' book

Mumbai, Aug 19 (UNI) Reading and discussion of ' Janani', an autobiographical book on the writings of women from different walks of life will be held at Crossword, Powai tomorrow.

Noted theatre actor Dolly Thakore and poet, Sampurna Chaterjee will read excerpts from the book and hold the discussion.

The book is edited by Rinki Bhattacharya, Director- Bimal Roy Memorial Committee.

Janani explores the whole gamut of being a woman and motherhood with accounts by an adoptive mother, on step-mothering and single-motherhood, the wrenching pain of an abortion, and the unusual choice by a woman determined not to be a mother, a release said.
