BSP will emerge as third alternative in Rajasthan : S C Mishra

Jaipur, Aug 19 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) general secretary and UP Minister Satish Chandra Mishra today said the UP experiment of social engineering would be replicated in Rajasthan.

Addressing a press conference here he said in the Assembly elections scheduled for next year, the people of Rajasthan would have the choice of a third option in the form of BSP.

The people are disillusioned with both the Congress and BJP in the state and the BSP would emerge a third alternative, he claimed.

Mr Mishra said the BSP is prepared for election at any time and the party has initiated the social engieering process in the state with the constitution of 'Brahmin Samaj Bhaichara Banao Samiti' in all the Assembly constituencies. When asked why only Brahmins, he said the social divide between the Dalits and Brahmins was the highest in the society and once these two groups come together everybody else will fall in line. He said it is a good sign that the Brahmins in Rajasthan are coming forward to join hands with the Dalits and Bahujan Samaj Party.

Mr Mishra said his party would contest all the 200 seats in the next Assembly election and would have no truck with any party.

The proponent of social enginering saw the movement for social justice as beyond grabing political power. He said the BSP is the only party that advocates reservation to the poor among the upper castes and has given concreate shape to the very idea in UP within a short time period.

Mr Mishra said the UP government would give subsidy to those industries which implement 30 per cent reservation _ 10 per cent each to SC/ST, OBC and upper castes.

He said the BSP would organise a grand rally in Jaipur by the end of September to showcase its strength.

Earlier, the BSP leader was given a warm reception by the Rajasthan Brahmin Mahasabha at the Sanganeer airport and escorted to Vidhyadhar Nagar where a training camp was organised by the Brahmin Samaj Bhaichara Banao Samiti.
