AIYF holds demo

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 19 (UNI) The Tiruchirapalli District unit of the CPI-affiliated All India Youth Federation (AIYF) staged a demonstration here condemning the recent murder of District AIYF Secretary Sudalaimuthu by anti-social elements.

Mr Sudalaimuthu, who was fighting against the illegal sand mining in the district, was found dead in suspicious circumstances.

The demonstrators urged the state government to book the culprits behind the murder.
