6 students wounded in clash with police in Kanpur

Kanpur, Aug 19 (UNI) About six students were wounded in a clash with the police here today.

The incident occurred in DAV college of Civil Lines area, where some students started chanting slogans, while counting in the college election, held yesterday, was underway.

The students had indulged in a scuffle after the opposing group objected, police said.

Six students were wounded during police interception in the incident.

Meanwhile, four student leaders have been arrested.
