3 women held for robbery

Kancheepuram, Aug 19 (UNI) Three women were arrested and Rs 3.76 lakh of stolen money recovered from their possession.

Police said a Coimbatore-bsed vessel dealer lodged a complaint saying he lost the money while sitting in a bus at Chengalput Bus Stand. He also said he suspected three co-passengers of robbing the money.

Following this, police arrested Usha (26), Kausalya (22) and Jothi (24) who confessed to the crime. The cash was also recovered from them.
