12 people engaged in treasure hunt arrested

Hubli, Aug 19 (UNI) Police have arrested 12 people engaged in treasure hunt in Devikop reserve forest area, near Kalghatagi town in Dharwad district last night.

According to police, these people were digging in the forest searching for treasure at a spot believed to be having hidden treasure. All he arrested were in the age group of 35 to 40 and hailed from Sureban village of Ramdurg taluk in Belgaum district.

Forest personnel who saw these people digging informed police who arrested them and on interrogation it was found that they were searching for hidden treasure.
