Youth trained by Army to fight terrorism in J and K

Jammu, Aug 18 (UNI) Youth of Village Defence Committee (VDC), who are committed and motivated to fight the terrorists in the the border areas of Jammu, Poonch and Rajouri, are being trained by Army at Sunjuwan Short Range.

Talking to media, Sunjuwan Brigade, Commander Brigadier H S Brar said the VDC members who were eager to carry out weapon training, as mature citizens of the nation must assume responsibility of guarding themselves and their villages from the callous acts of the terrorists.

These trained youth can easily face the challenges of terrorists in their remote areas and upper reaches in the border districts where Pakistan-trained terrorists are still active, Brig Brar said.

The training was carried out by Sunjuwan Brigade to re-sharpen their skills by putting them through a refresher capsule followed by a firing competition.
